Grand SlamCharleston, SC - September 26-27We are proud to report Ilia's second place finish at this ISU sanctioned pro-am. Below is a more detailed explanation of the competition. The Grand Slam consisted of three rounds, with each round narrowing the field. Round One: Top Four Advance Competitors at this event included: Ilia, Todd Eldredge, Kurt Browning, Evgeny Pluschenko, Viktor Petrenko, Eric Millot, Takeshi Honda and Scott Davis. In round one, Ilia performed his new "Tango" program.
In round three, the skaters could skate a program of their choice, including one they had already skated in an earlier round.
