In Seisouso, Ilia's affinity for the tango is evident. He clearly understands the confident, sensual, self-possessed role of the male in this traditional Latin dance. He displays the power and agility of a dancer's body in strong, decided steps with an emphasis on the straight lines of the torso. In what is one of his most  passionate programs to date, he flies over the ice to the pounding rhythms, fraught with intense emotion; hungrily seeking a partner to join him in his dance. He seems briefly to audition a few spectral women only to cast them aside as if they are no match for his own burning passion. The viewer is led through a dizzying maze of spectacular, spinning choreography. When the music gains its climactic end, we see Ilia standing alone; centered, self-absorbed and monumental, but alone.
