Four Corners is figure skating's equivalent to tragic opera. Instead of  lyrics, four interacting skaters use their bodies to convey the passion and pain of a devastating love quadrangle. The choreography is inspired and what a sublime treat it is to see Ilia's debut as a pairs skater in sections of this program. How strong and mature he looks skating through a tangle of powerful emotions alongside the lovely Katia Gordeeva. Their Synchronicity is moving and convincing and the overall effect of this tremendous program stays with you long after it is over.
